Supported Living Services
Spectrum strives to support individuals by providing services that allow them to live in their own homes and be a part of their community. These services enable adult participants to make choices, receive needed services and live more independently in their own home or in the family home.
Spectrum’s Supported Living Services for individuals include:
Homemaker Services – training and assistance with household tasks such as cooking, laundry, cleaning and other household maintenance tasks.
Mentorship Services – assistance with areas such as self-advocacy, understanding complicated health and safety issues, social and relationship issues, problem solving and decision making through methods like instructing, providing experiences, modeling, and advising.
Personal Care – assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) such as hygiene, bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, toileting and transferring. With personal care supports, you can even get help with shopping, money management, meal planning, grocery shopping, budgeting and bill paying.
Respite – service can be provided at your home or at a provider's home. Options include Hourly Supervision (under 10 hours per day) and Daily Supervision (10 hours or more per day up to 24 hours.)
Supported Community Connections – enable the participant to access typical activities and functions of community life such as community education and training, volunteering, learning to use public transportation, planning and attending events and building relationships.
Supported Employment – is conducted in a variety of employment settings in which participants interact with non-disabled individuals. Spectrum's services include job development, job coaching, one-on-one support and transportation to and from the work site.
Transportation Services – for transport to and from Supported Living Services activities through Spectrum or an existing community transportation option as appropriate.

Lori G. – Host Home Provider
As an HHP, working with Spectrum
for the past 3 years, I can offer a perspective with regard to my client’s unique needs and challenges. Spectrum’s well informed staff foster an environment of positive and progressive supports which are strong, when needed, without crossing boundaries.
Spectrum’s Day Program successfully manages a delicate balance between client and HHP, working together, to expose many opportunities for my client’s interests, with safety and dignity in the foreground.”
My daughter has had a service provider
from Spectrum who has worked with her for about 3 years with three or four different types of service. This has been a very positive experience as she has been able to access the community in a variety of ways.
Some of the activities that she has enjoyed include: preparing several recipes including shopping and making the dish, purchasing gifts for friends, managing her own money, going out to eat at a wide variety of restaurants, and enjoying many outings of swimming and bowling.
We are thankful for the support and responsiveness of Spectrum."
